Living in the Philippines
HOME

http://www.LivingInthePhilippines.com
is the ORIGINAL, first Philippines Expat site on the Net, since 1989. This is not one of many knock-offs, copycats, imitations. Some have permutations of the names, misspellings and "in" and "the" or "ing." left off to deceive you. This is the original, by: Don A. Herrington

Becoming an expat, living in a strange country, and adjusting to a new culture is a big step that requires sound information and research. Just the adjustment to retirement is a major one. Interacting with people on the "Living in the Philippines" Discussion List or just lurking, may lead to friendships that will be indispensable when you arrive. There are several expat business owners on the list who can tell you the pros and cons of doing businesses in the Philippines. And you can learn much about the country and its culture from people who share some common interests and bonds. List members can provide emotional support and reality checks as you explore your options in this Asian paradise for foreigners, virtually on line and in friendship that come as a result of personal meetings.

Before joining the List you should read the "rules{ link, on the left, so you will know how to enjoy the List. This is a large list, tightly moderated because of its size. We keep it on topic and the members get what they come for, information on Living, Traveling Traveling Retiring, and Doing Business in the Philippines, not just noise and commercials, and the few that come on the Lists with spam and hustles. They are not allowed.
