Cost of Rent:

None. Yearly land and house tax = 2.800 = 230 peso/mth

Electricity:

3,000 (no aircon and we only miss that in April & May)
Water: 250

Gas:

170 - one 14 kg tank lasts us 13 - 16 weeks

None (but available)

Power Outages:

From 0 to 40 a month between 5 seconds and 36 hours! Most common is 30 minutes, perhaps once or twice a month. 6 hour outages also occur every couple of months.

Water Outages:

Daytime trickle only so we use 700 gallon roof tank with float valve and pressure tank. Pressure is sufficient at night to keep tank full.
Water is good for drinking as is but we filter and cool it.

Cable TV:

Dream 690

Air Quality:

No pollution unless we're burning our rubbish (no alternatives here)

Noise:

(this is how noisy it is around your house. Take things into consideration like animal noise (dogs, roosters, etc), loud neighbors, and road noise. 1 - Very quiet little to no noise

Traffic:

Perhaps 3 or 4 trikes an hour in daytime
Funeral Procession maybe once or twice a year

Public Trans:

Tricycles within 300 meters or wait outside the gate Jeepneys & buses within 2.5 kms

Stores:

Sari-sari within 300 meters
Town within 3.5 kms
Large Shopping Mall 10 kms
