69 years young last November.  Fortunately enjoying good health and still working.  Tried retiring every year for the past 6 years but company always put pressure on me to stay, however, I am determined to make the break this year.  Happily married to a 31 year old Filipina, who shares my passions of travelling, sailing and motorcycling.  I have built our house in Davao, so everything in place for the move over there full time.
Looking forward to exploring more of the country and further afield to Vietnam, once place in Asia I have never visited.

The important thing is that you don't mind working and enjoy doing your job.
I didn't like or enjoyed doing my job, so I took an early retirement at age 49 and immediately moved to the Philippines. 19 yrs later we're still here and enjoying our retirement lifestyle.

53,  still planning to move.   Filipina wife is onboard with the idea now.  Probably couple years as we work to close out our local (usa) business.   Visiting at least once a year.

Yes I love my job, so in many ways it makes the breaking to retire more difficult.  This year I am determined to stop working, just need to finish a few more projects first.........

55.  56 June this year, lucky to have retired early due to a hurt on duty injury.  Moved here just before my 50th birthday with my pinoy partner after having lived together in Sydney for 5 yrs or so.
I have never seen the world brighter and less prosperous.

Will be 69 this Sep. Yes, we enjoy the retirement lifestyle here. I've been retired now for 19 years. Retired early at age 49. I didn't like or enjoyed my job, but put in 30 years of sevice to retire 6 years early.

You have me beat by one month.   Wow Santa Rosa huh, I never realized how many people are in the Cavite Laguna area.   We really should all get together sometime for a few beers.   Just how many are in the Tagaytay, Santa Rosa, Dasma, Gen Trias area?

31 in August

I'm not living in the Philippines for now. Brought the family over to the US in February, but still enjoy stopping in every once in a while to see the latest discussions.

Turned 66 this past January, Gloria will be 52 in June. Built a house near Bulacan Province with plans to retire 4 years ago, but the need for money, some health issues, plus additional tuition for a niece (the last, hopefully) crashed the early retirement idea. So, we visit every couple of years with plans for a visit in 2018 for our niece's graduation as a Chem Eng. Money is still extremely tight, so it now looks like I'll be here in the US for another 7 1/2 years until Glo can withdraw her Profit Sharing Account without the early withdrawal penalty. Such is life

I've been retired for about 10 years now. In a few months Ill be 73, Im in good health, I feel like and act like Im 35 and no money issues.

Im still living in the bay area Cal and trying to decide where to move to, I know I dont want to stay here much longer. I was considering the Philippines because I have Philippine citizenship and have countless relatives there (thats both good and bad). Growing up out social circle was primarily the Philippine community which I suppose is why I have this comfortable feeling like I belong when Im in the Philippines.  Then I was considering the Yosemite area in Cal. and then maybe Nevada and then again maybe the Philippines, Paralysis of analysis.

I know, I know, I better get to getting on with it.

GW
I think there are alot of us in the same boat.
I had plans for early retirement 5 years ago. But it just didn't happen as planed.
I know a couple that retired moved to the Phill. built a house and then ran out of money.
They are now back in the states working two jobs, trying to sell their house in the Phill. and they blame everyone but themself for their
poor planning.

Retirement should not be connected to a birthday.
I think the time for retirement is when everything is in place and it all comes together.
We will get there but just a few days late.

You got that right! There are days that I want to bugout immediately and others when I feel very comfortable sitting right here. But one day Go and I will pack our bags and leave for good.
