We live in the Northern Central Region of Luzon, Sta Rosa,
Laguna to be exact serviced by the Meralco Co. and here's
our past to the present consumption and monthly cost. We
basically have a 1HP air conditioning wall mounted unit in
our upstairs master bedroom that runs 24/7.
We know! We aren't very frugal!  :o

I don't really know why electricity is so expensive here in the Philippines compared there in the U.S.!
I really never looked into it as to why! Maybe an expert out there knows so I won't need to research it! Just lazy at my old age!  :o

My electric bills (from Batelec II in Batangas) range from just under 4,000 to just under 5,000 pesos per month, depending on usage. Don't use much aircon except in the hottest months, and would never dream of running an aircon in an empty room.

Our electricity bill is around P5000. The only place I  use an aircon is in my study on a hot afternoon/evening.  The air does leak past the sliding doors that have gaps all around them to the landing/stairwell that has large open windows; I need to do something about that. I always turn the aircon off if I leave the room for more than a few minutes. Interestingly, the graphics card in my computer overheated and died because the fan was running slowly.
