Searching for your favorite movies?
« on: September 30, 2014, 06:55:11 PM »
For you newbies on here and or old timers with time on your hands and for those long rainy days as a shut-in, but still has power and internet! Just saying..........
Where to search for your favorite movies? Since everyone has different tastes in the kind of movies they like to watch, I would suggest the following websites to do your search and even review any of your favorite movies you intend to watch.
I mainly download my movies from https://kickass.to/movies/ which has almost all the movies I'm interested in, but those who just want to watch instant movies by watching them on video streaming websites, here are a few reliable easy to use websites for searching your favorite movies and also as long your default browser has the add-on and or extension that will allow you to browse the website outside of the Philippines, like Fox.com and Hulu.com;

For the newbies.  I can help you with a little more info on the whole kickass.to website.

1. You'll need a software to receive it.  I use utorrent.com and their free software.  There are others, but utorrent has always worked for me so it's all I really know.

2. Just go to the link above for kickass.to and search for a movie you enjoy.

3. I've been doing this for over 2 years now.  Here's what I can help you with when it comes to selecting a movie.  A lot of the movie, as far as quality, safety(no viruses) has to do with the uploader.  Look for yify.  Always quality and safe.  the yify1080 is the best, but also large in size and will take longer to download.  But they are tops for watching on a HD tv.  There are other uploaders that are good if you plan to just watch on your laptop.  axxo and klaxxon, both uploaders no longer uploading(at least axxo isn't, not sure on klaxxon) are also clean and good quality for 720.  They are usually around the 700mb size and download fast.

4. There are other uploaders that usually are safe, and could be used.  My suggestion is to get a security software if you really want to get into this.  When I moved to the Phils last year I brought over 1000 movies and 40 complete tv series, and another 10 tv series from their start up to the point where they were at when I moved here.  I put them all on a 3tb HD and can watch any of them at any time.  Either plug into the laptop, or tv and watch and enjoy good quality.  The best part of downloading a torrent is you will always have it as long as you want, can play and pause it, and are not streaming it, so not waiting when the internet carrier service is slowing down.

One more helpful suggestion.  If you love your show from the US or EU and want to download it and like me don't have the fastest connection in the world while here in the Phils, wait till the "seeds" are higher than the leechers or close to the same and real high in numbers as in over a couple 1000s.  Otherwise the leechers will really slow it down on an already slow connection.   For the hit shows it usually doesn't take that long.

If you need a free security that is top, and have a windows OS try microsoft securities.  It's taken very good care of my laptop with no complaints and doesn't cost a dime.

Hope this helps.

Based on a suggestion we also need to consolidate these movie links into basic categories; Drama, Action, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Comedy, Horror etc.  I'll create the new Category Topics and it will be up to the person posting the link to put the link under the proper category.

Since I see Art has already posted several inks, once I have these new Category Topics setup, Art would you please move them to the proper Topic?  Then I can remove the originals and prevent duplication or confusion.

Joe,
Just as a "heads-up" if you aren't aware. Download
iTorrentz.in    You will find that when you put in a movie or
series and open it up, Pirate Bay, Kickass etc., will come
up, along with several others I mentioned in another post.

If say, for argument, you put in eg: Criminal Minds. You click
on KA and you get 10 seeders, go back one page until it shows
the other sites. Then click on PB, click on d/l, a window will pop up
asking you if you want to d/l trackers. Click yes. This will generally
find you more seeds. More seeds, quicker d/l. You can do this
multiple times if you wish. You are then able to check what you
have by clicking on "trackers" halfway down the uTorrent window.

Graham

p.s. excuse me if you already know this. Might help others.

Graham,
If ever I get desperate for more seeders, I'll try what you have commented about adding seeders using iTorrentz! Thanks for the info! I too didn't know that and now I do and will use it when I'm truly desperate for more seeders during my downloads!  :o ;)
