Thanks guys, I think I am going to go with the one Joel mentioned, the top and bottom pane with the window pushing up to open!!

They are known in the US as double hung.  Not sure what they'l be called here in the Phils.  Try and use a single screen setup.  Usually that is what is used except in some cases where people use storm windows where at times they use an upper and lower screen setup. 

In the Phils there is really no need for them so try and go with a single full window screen.  It should lock into place from the inside and help some on the "protection" factor.  For extra money you can use "side locks" on each pane as well as the standard "top lock" on the bottom pane that locks it and the upper pane into place.
