For those living in Capas, Pampanga
« on: August 16, 2019, 11:25:48 AM »
How does Capas look to you folks who live in the Capas, Bamban area. Itís fairly close to Angeles /Clark for city amenities, is that right?  Is the area growing?  Are people generally friendly and open to foreigners?  I hope to find a place to build thatís still somewhat agricultural but close to Angeles where I have relatives.  Hopefully some of you guys can give me the feel of the area.

Never heard of it. But I think you will have a hard time finding any place in the Philippines that is "friendly and open to foreigners". I would imagine especially in Pampanga and close to Clark and Angeles! Probably one of the least likely places to be welcomed. Unless you are spending all your days with prostitutes? But I do not presume that is your intent.

Don't know where you live but I found totally the opposite where I live in Cavite.  Maybe you just meet or hang with the wrong people. No I don't spend my time in bars or with prostitutes!

Indeed? Been looking at the cheaper rent in Cavite. If it is true what you say. I have lived all over the country. Don't hang out with people here. Meet the wrong people? Obviously. Interesting the people in Cavite are among the nicest in the country, considering their reputation... I could not do that commute every day though. Not only would it be too long, but too expensive. There would not by chance be any good jobs in Cavite that are not racist, are there?

There are many good jobs and more coming to the area, but suggest you stay where you are with the attitude you have express toward the Philippines so far on this forum!  Cavite can do without your presence here!

Why? I thought you said it was the only nice city in the country? Despite their reputation? What's wrong with MY attitude? I have a pretty good attitude for living among the most disgusting people in the world. What is wrong with you?

Baffling to me how my clear question has deteriorated rapidly in 6 responses. By the nature of my inquiry, it is obvious that I do not subscribe to the opinion that Filipinos are disgusting people, or racist for that matter. Iím in search of information. The negative tone and direction this has taken is not conducive to attracting participation.

The new member with the negative view of the Philippines is no longer a member of this forum.

Manny.

One of my friends (formerly from North California) lives in Cabantuan, Nueva Ecija and is very pleased with the amenities, as well as the climate.
There is a new toll-road being built to link the city to the TPLEx, which means Manila, Baguio and the SBMA/Olongopo are all within 2 or 3 hours easy drive, with Angeles/Clark about 1 hour away.

There are a number of good quality hospitals, one 10 minutes from his location, which are operated to American standards. Some are owned/staffed by American trained specialists, with all the latest equipment.

The recently elected Mayor has cleaned up the traffic management problems. Housing and services are much cheaper than "Metro" type conurbations.

See < https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cabanatuan  > for an general, but somewhat out of date, overview.

Just a suggestion for you to look at.
