About three kms from here is the Sarao Jeepney Factory, where the famous Manila jeepneys are handcrafted according to clients taste.
MAKATI
Makati is located on the southeast of Manila City. It is Metro Manila's business and financial center. Apart from its 21st century skyscrapers, Makati was also one of the first areas where the Spanish settled. Makati's church, for instance, was built in 1620. This high-rise center is a creation of the Zobel de Ayala family, a family who's roots go straight back to Spanish times. They gradually developed the area into what it is today. Makati has a number of excellent hotels for the businessmen, as well as restaurants, nightclubs and bars. Nightlife is concentrated around Padre Burgos Street. There are two golf courses:

PASIG
Pasig is situated on the extreme east side of the megalopolis, bordering the province of Rizal. It is a mixed area with extensive housing and light to medium industry. For the visitor there is not much to see or to do.
PATEROS
Pateros is the center of the balut industry. Balut is a Filipino "delicacy." It is neither egg, nor duck, but an embryonic duck in a shell, boiled for a few minutes. It takes about 21 days for a fertilized egg to produce a duckling. If you take away the egg anywhere between I or 20 days, cook it a few minutes, and then you have balut. It is a matter of "taste" how many days old you like your balut.
The sandy soil of Pateros provides the indigenous Paterson duck with an abundance of snails and forage, and these then produce the balut. Selling balut is the privileged domain of the balut-vendor.
SAN JUAN
San Juan is the smallest municipality of Metro Manila. With a total population of around 130,000, only the population of Pateros is, with 50,000, smaller. But it is the best organized and maintained part of the megalopolis. Former president Joseph Estrada was, for almost two decades, mayor of San Juan and he did a very good job.
There is little industry in San Juan. It is a place for living, shopping and enjoying a good meal in one of the many restaurants, or visiting a disco or nightclub.
VALENZUELA
Valenzuela is a typical industrial town. Most of its industries fall into the categories "light" and "medium". For a visitor there is nothing much to do or see.
