This golf club is located on the northern part of the island of Mindanao, about 10 kms south of the city of Cagayan de Oro.
Established in 1928, the first nine holes were designed by Peter Crawford while the second nine by Celestino Tugot. The 6,313 meter par-72 course has challenging fairways lined with trees on both sides, lakes and sand traps, a sloping front nine plus fast greens. The course calls for very accurate shots. The par-3, 12`h, often dubbed the "Waterloo Hole" needs a carry of 210 yards over water. The 16`h, the "Warnes' Hole" was aptly named when one of Del Monte's executives Thomas Warnes sent 36 balls into the lake in 1938.

Location and Getting There:
The course is situated within Del Monte's pineapple plantation in the highlands of Bukidnon province, Mindanao Island. First there is a 70-minute plane ride from Manila to Cagayan de Oro, next you need private transportation to the site proper, a car ride of approximately 35 minutes from Cagayan de Oro City Airport.

Accommodations:
Pryce Plaza is nearer the airport. Vacation Hotel de Oro and VIP Hotel are in the city and a lot cheaper. Cottages for rent are available at the golf course.
