Built in 1978
by Robert Trent Jones Jr.,
this par-71 layout on 64 hectares is situated on the
headlands overlooking a beautiful bay. The golf course
affords magnificent vistas. The course is laid out on
rolling terrain which is perfectly contoured for dramatic
golf shots. The fairways and the greens are designed between
and across the rolls and folds of the land creating a
variety of challenges. There are many bunkers and sloping
greens planted with Tifton grass. The course is dotted by
sparkling lakes and an abundance of indigenous and exotic
trees.

Location and Getting There
About one hundred kms south of Manila,
on the tip of the Calatagan peninsula. It is a drive of
roughly two and a half hours over roads that are not
everywhere in a good condition. The address: Calatagan,
Batangas. Golf Course tel. Nos.: 892-4202 to 08. Tel. Makati
Office: 895-2695. Telefax: (632) 895-2657.
Drive from Makati through the South
Superhighway and Carmona. From Manila via coastal road.
Private car or car rental needed to get there. There is no
public transport available. Taxis are only willing to drive
this distance if a return trip is guaranteed.
Accommodations
Punta Baluarte Resort
offers excellent rooms. There are small beach resorts in the
area with cottages within a few kilometres. There is Taal
Vista Lodge halfway between Manila and the golf club. It is
a perfect hide-out for those who like to `disappear' for a
few days.
