I\'m a Filipina who happened to stumble across LIP. I can\'t help myself but be drawn to the horrific tales of scam and betrayals. I\'ve just recently joined a match-making site and the stories are the same. Hopefully with this site, they can be better equipped how to survive and live happy here.

I have spent hours reading your writing. I now live in Dammam and teach Technical English at the King Faisal University but am seriously considering retiring to the Philippines. The Streetwise Philippines e book I found fascinating as I lived in Pasay for 4 years. I had a bar there and in Ermita.

Great Website with very useful information. I\'ll be in Manila for a week starting 07/02/09 and returning home (Los Angeles) on the 9th. Will try and get around and hope to meet a few American expats there as well. Keep up the great work you doing!
