ANG PAHAYAG
THE STATEMENT

Angay pod nga hinomdomán nga sa dilang visayâ ang sujeto sa pahayag nga ngahng kaogalingon, ngahng comón o nasustantivo nga polong kinahanglan paunhan gayod sa panal-ot “Si/Ang”. Makità kiní sa mga pananglitang pahayag sa itaas.
We should have to remember that in a visayan dialect the subject statement in personal names, common noun or subjunctive words mut be put before the article “the”. This can be seen in a statement in the example above.

Mga Kasangga’ng Polong sa Sujeto sa Pahayag
The Equivalent Words of the Subject Statement:

Sanglit ang ngahng kaogalingon, ngahng comón o nasustantivong polong maó ra may mahimo nga sujeto, ang angayng isangga kanila, gawás sa kinahanglanong panal-ot, maó gayod ang adjetivo kon naadjetivo’ng polong. Pananglitan:
Example the personal names, common noun or subjunctive words is the only subject made, the right equivalent for them, excluding for the needed article is only the adjective or adjective words. Example:

Si  Jimmy nga upáw mao’y dinhi kagabîi.
The balded Jimmy was here last night.
Nadawat nakò ang pinangandoyng basahón.
I received the readings that I had dreamed.
Ang upáw nga Jimmy mianhi dinhi kagabîi.
The balded Jimmy came here last night.
Si Atty. Pamping Go napilì nga mayor.
Atty. Pamping Go  was choosen as mayor.
Ang kahomót sa bolak nangalimyon sa lawák.
The fragrance of the flower surrounds the room.
Ang gidikorasyonan nga sinena ania na.
The decorated  dress is already here.

Ang adjetivong polingahn magamit pod nga kasangga sa sujeto sa pahayag uban sa sujetong sustantivo kon nasustantivo’ng polong.
The adjective interrogative expression used in the equivalent subject statement including the subjunctive subject or subjunctive words.

Ang iyang amahan miabót kaganina’ng hapon.
His/Her father came late this afternoon.
Ang iyang pagkanta nakalingaw kanamò.
His/Her song make us funny.
Ang ilang bag-o nga baláy nasonog kagabîi.
Their new house burned last night.
Ang iyang namatayng asawa gilobong na.
His dead wife was already buried.
Ang akong taás nga solát nadawat na niya.
He/She received my letter, which is very long.
Imong manók nga pula mao’y nakabonô.
Your red rooster chicken has won the fight.

Ang posesivong polingahn magamit pod nga sujeto sa pahayag.
The possessive interrogative expression is also used in the subject of the statement.

Ang imo/imoha walâ dirí sa bag.
Yours was not here in the bag.
Akôa ba kanáng gidala nimo?
Is that mine, whom you bring on?
Ang iya/iyaha asa man diáy?
How about his/her, where is it?

Ang adjetivo nga dili sangga sa sujeto (tongod kay tali kanila way panal-ot “nga”) pagaisipon gayod nga sakop sa predicado como complemento sa verbo sa kaunsahan. Pananglitan:
The adjective that is not equivalent to the subject (because there is no tie between the article “that”) was thought including the common predicate that complement the action verb. Example:

Si Frenchie tambok nga dalaga
Frenchie is a fat lady.
Si  Frenchie mao’y tambok nga dalaga
Frenchie is the fat lady.
Si Frenchie tambok
Frenchie is fat.
Si Frenchie mao’y tambok
Frenchie is the fat.
Tambok si Frenchie
Fat is Frenchie.
Mao’y tambok si Frenchie.
The fat one is Frenchie.
Ang tambok maó si Andres
The
fat is Frenchie.

NOTA BENE: Nasaysay na sa paghisgot sa Verbo sa Kaunsahan nga usahay mahimo nga kining verboha dili litokón o solatón apan unya masabót gihapon ang honà-honà sa tagsolti o tagsolát.
NOTE WELL: As we discuss about the action verb, “seldom”, it is fine, if we don’t speak or write the verb but the important is, it is still in the mind of the speaker or the writer and it must be understood.
