It's been a while since I visited the site. Seems completely different. I don't see any of Don's photos or any of his books
for sale.  What happened?

Glad to hear that Don is still around. I really enjoyed reading him. He has a wonderful affection
and respect for the people of the Philippines. Wish him well for me. Yes the site is looking good.
Thank you (Diba) for the prompt response.

I met up with Don in Cebu by chance  in April, he was sitting outside Bo's coffee in Ayala and we got to talking. Don is doing well and keeping busy but he did have a rough patch of health issues not long before I met him.

I approved this post as soon as I saw it, even though you are apparently a longtime member, for some reason the forum shows you only have the two posts, post some more and the moderation will hopefully no longer be there, Steve had to add the moderation part because of all the spammers nowadays.

Oh I almost forgot, welcome back to the forum.
:) Happily married since 1994 & live part of the year in Cebu and the rest in S. Florida.

Thanks Lee2.
I have only been registered since Aug. 2010, but I read all Don's material.
I got my filipina wife in 2009 from Guagua, Pampanga in Luzon. We live in Central Ca,
but she would like to be home at least part of the year.  It sounds like you have
found a good balance between Cebu and Florida.

Thanks again for the info and the welcome.

By the way, I grew up in Jacksonville FL, but haven't been there since 1977.

Yes we have been doing our back and forth life since we got married and bought a condo in Cebu in 2007 and that has made the back and forth life a lot easier.

We are down in Fort Lauderdale and quite happy here but the wife wants to live in Cebu since she is from Mindanao and Cebu, so this is a good compromise.

Well praise God for that, it is always a joy to meet a brother or sister in Christ. Have you learned Tagalog
or Visayan? I have not, and I'm not sure I ever will. My wife has confused me with the combination of her
dialect, Kapampangan, and Tagalog.  I'm just glad she speaks English. If you don't mind I would like to
ask you about what it is like to live in the Philippines. I have been 5 times, but my longest stay was only
43 days. I have never been to the region you are in, so whatever you can tell me will be of use when
selecting where to live.

God bless

Robert

Well if you decide to come here to the Bacolod area, here in Neg Occ & Iloilo, they speak Ilonggo. If you go south to Negros Oriental Dumaguete area, they speak Cebuano just as Cebu.
Thank you...God Bless...
