I was in the "peace time" military, didn't come close to what you guys went through.

Peacetime service but I think cvgtpc1 you were here inbetween 84-87 like I was and there were bullets flying in the streets several times when I was walking out the main gate in Subic.

I was stationed in San Miguel Philippines in the province of Luzon. I was also stationed on 2 ships out of Subic Bay; the USS Chicago and the USS Reeves (Long since made into reefs) I went to Hong Kong, Singapore, and Taiwan. I went back to the US to Anderson AFB and ended up TDY to Ramusen station in a place north of Udorn. I did all that in just 4 years in the Marines. I did 18 years in the US Army where I was stationed at Fort Bliss, TX twice, Fort Lewis, Washington, Fort Bragg, NC and Butzbach, Geissen and Bitburg in Germany. I retired at Redstone Arsenal Alabama.
