Byron bay/Brisbane accomodation....Help!

Hi Everybody!

It's been a while and yes...I am still alive and kicking! Lol. Can someone around New South Wales area help a damsel in distress? I am finalizing my itinerary going to The Channon Northern South Wales, this 16th of July. I found a cheaper fare via Sydney, stay with some friends there for 1 day and then take the train to Lismore. Long trip but will surely enjoy taking in the sights along the way. Will stay around the The Channon area for the 5 day training then take the bus to Byron bay(2 nights)for more adventure then to Brisbane for overnight stay before flying back home to Manila. Where's the best place to stay in Byron bay? Convenient, economical(on a limited budget) safe and comfortable for a dainty traveller lol like me? What about Brisbane?

Bit out of town- but on the right side for Brisbane  airport. I have stayed here on many occasions great breakfast and comfortable too.  5 minutes walk to a great pub and meals. Very handy too for the train station 3 minutes from the place 30 minutes to central Brisbane

Thanks! Luv it! But...can I afford it? :( But if the train goes by the airport, does it(?) and I don't need to take a taxi, might as well give myself a treat!

Three minutes walk from Naracoopa guest house to Sandgate station- Brisbane train -change at Eagle junction for airport. Easy and no hassle. You won't get better that this place at this price- and as i said 5 minutes walk to a great pub with good cheap food. If you do stay there  - please mention my name- Bill.
