I think that used to be true but nowadays most are so close it probably does not pay to make a special trip when the one in the Maze and the one in Rustans, both in Ayala were both p51.85 today when the online rate was p51.89, so for me, I would rather exchange while at Ayala anyway.

When we're in-country we usually just visit the closest mall to exchange dollars for pisos. Doesn't pay to travel long distances thru heavy traffic to gain 2-3 more pisos

I'm the same way I want to get it done and go do something else.

Now my wife and her sister will spend a half a day trying to get the best deal.
