Sadly you are right.      But i did meet a hippie couple from germany that had been here years.   Just cycling around the Philippines.  living in the mountains at times or just wherever.   They were both retired and adopted the PI.    Very interesting granola bar birkenstock hippies that seemed to love each other very much.   I told them they should write a book.. and she said no need ..they write and sing songs to each other about their travels and life together.

I thought the reason everyone in Phil had high walls around their homes was so they could run around naked. lol I wonder how expensive it would be to buy an island there? lol

Depending on what you desire, anywhere from $500,000 and up.
