Living in The Philippines > Places to Visit/ Things to Do
100 Islands
(1/1)
Tally J:
My wife and I will be going to the PI in November and we generally try to visit a new place each trip. We will be staying near Angeles City and this year we have selected the 100 Islands area to visit.
Has anyone stayed in that area recently at a place they might recommend? We will probably only be there two nights at most due to the short time we are in the PIs this trip. Any things or activities in particular that are available to see/do?
Many thanks for any info you can offer.

We haven\'t been there yet, but I understand you can get lodging in Alaminos. You can hire a boat to take you around the islands. Be sure to stop at the restaurant on Governor\'s Island. I hear they have some good BBQ!
Here\'s a link from Sulit that lists hotel accomodations and boat tours with many package deals available:

Bring back some good pics to share! :)

In June 2009 I visited the 100 Islands. There are quite a few hotels on the water front area, most with restaurants. Stay there as you can walk to the boats, it makes it easier, and the view is quite nice too.
The tour of the islands takes a full day, so make sure to bring your camera, a packed lunch if you want, and don\'t forget your bathing suits.

Enjoy and let us know how it was.

Tally J:
Thank you Jack and Thomas.
I am getting real excited as I usually do when going to the PI. There are so many interesting places to go and see.
This trip is not only about sightseeing but is a preparatory trip for our retirement next year and our move to the PIs. We will be locating in the Angeles City area as that is where my wife\'s family is from.
We were going to start building a house on this trip, but from what I have read and learned here, I feel more comfortable moving and renting a place and then beginning to build when we can be on sight. That way we can be sure of what we get and adjust anything immediately.
Thanks to all who contribute much valuable information to this sight.
Salamat!
