Traveling to Philippines from UK in 2023 - requirements

(1/1)

codefreeze:
I am planning on traveling to Philippines from UK early next year.

I have to confess that after the flurry of changes to requirements regarding entry to Philippines, I am now completely confused as to what is actually required to travel there. Does anyone know? Where is the up-to-date info on entry requirements - and is it accurate?

Many thanks!

Tally J:
Take a look at the Philippine Airline site (https://www.philippineairlines.com/) and scroll down to Travel Rules and Requirements.  This is usually up to date, but as we all know, subject to immediate change.  I am going over the first of January and keep an eye on this site.  Enjoy your visit.

Thanks, sadly PA don't fly from LHR to MNL any more, so I can't look up the specific requirements from that site. I assume you'll be flying from USA?

Worth noting, they do also say:

> Travel requirements are subject to change at short notice by the issuing government authority. As such, posting of the advisories below is not real-time and serve only as a guide. Please confirm your requirements directly with the offices/websites of your place of origin and destination.

Further down they basically say, well if the requirements change, we're not going to be held responsible. I was expecting this, but it begs the question, who is the reliable source of truth on the matter?

For people traveling from UK, I did find this:

https://www.gov.uk/foreign-travel-advice/philippines/entry-requirements

Which references this beast:

That seems to cover it. UK doesn't issue certs for boosters, only for jab 1 and jab 2 (IIRC), so I think I'm going to need the NHS app installed. Anyone from UK got recent experience of this?

Thanks again,
Tony

Having looked more into this, it seems like a good idea to install the NHS app. I'd been avoiding this, but it turns out to be an easy process, and once installed you have access to your vaccination records, and these can be emailed to you from the app, and downloaded to your Apple wallet (or Android equiv I guess).

Of course everything has changed again, so see this post on the forum for the latest in the long-running saga:

BTW, forgot to mention, we decided to play safe and simply delay until 2024, these ongoing changes are too stressful to deal with, and it's hard to get reliable info. We'll reconsider when everything calms down.
