If I wanted to know what they do in Thailand, I would look for a Thai forum.  This is about the Philippines, which is where I live and my interest are concerned.  Please stay relevant to the concerns of this forum.  Thanks.

How long you think I can get away with using my international license?

The technical limit is supposed to be 90 days.

Got my local license.  Took the tourist ID card, and passport to LTO in QC.  2 hours and 1100 pesos later I gt a license. Worst part was that it was 37c and no air conditioning in lobby.

They \"converted\" my US license and gave me a local one although without all the endorsements.  Good for 3 years.  Only saw one other foreigner there.  Some 27 year old French woman who I suspect was a communist revolutionary.

Make photocopies of your driver licenses, passport data page, visa stamp, before you go to the window.  Btw it is window 14 where you hand in the completed form.  Ignore the fixers at the gate.  They can\'t help you and are criminals.
