So you made the permanent move?
I would like to have the option of here and there a few months annually for a few more years.
We are not quite that ready for permanent yet but not just a 4-to 6-week vacation either, I have thought a few times also to just sell it all, even if it came down to a total clearing auction to make it be done within a timely manner. Just thinking it will be hard to part with all my tools etc.
we brought about 100 boxes; 25 of them turned out to be stuff we did not want... If you are not sure you want something don't bring it. Unless you have special tools, suggest to not bring anything that is 110v. Even if you always remember the transformer, it is just another hassle. Any type of hand tool is really valuable, especially high-quality stuff.
computers/laptops/other electronics (make sure to have universal power supplies that are ok with 220v) everyone eventually will forget.. and plug it in the wrong place.. But do bring that type of stuff, it cost more hear and fewer choices. You can just put it in the boxes and comes along with clothes and other stuff with no hassle. If you buy it later and have it shipped from a vendor you might get customs issues.
if you want a larger than 65-inch tv, buy it and ship it before you come. you will pay what seems like a lot to ship it, maybe 3 or 5 hundred.. It will be cheap compared to buying that item here.
good luck.
