So, it is still the flat rate of 5 bucks minus one cent for up to $3k minus one dollar even when you transfer USD versus Pesos? Well, if so and I do decide to switch over, it might be a ways off yet. I don't think they will jump on increasing the fee for the check deposit too quick. We will see.

The fee is still a flat $4.99 for all transactions from $10 - $2999. The money goes directly from my bank account to the vendor of my choice and is available immediately. I have literally made a transfer, given the transaction number to them via phone, and within minutes received email notification that the money was picked up. They send notifications via email or text, whichever works best for you. There is a Lhuillier office within 2 minutes from the house. No PH bank account need

I used Remitly.com the other day for the first time, they gave me 54 Peso to 1 USD. But the the maximum you can send is 999 USD . But after that you can send up to 3000 USD and the rate will be less but better than Xoom.

Hi all, having sent quite a bit of money to the Philippines recently to pay for my new house, have tried numerous ways to save a few pounds. I looked up somebody called exchange rateiq, you simply put in how much you wish to send and they tell you the best way to send it. I have just returned from General Santos back to the UK, and on reading all my e.mails it makes interesting reading at the difference in rate each day. For anyone that is interested, I mainly use Orbit Remit, they only charge me a flat rate of £2 GBP and that was for just under £7,000 GBP. The rate is consistently the best , and although I have to prove source of funds ( simply scan my online bank account and upload it ), their service I can recommend, I have used them for over 10 years and their communication is second to none. Do not know whether this applies to you guys from the US, but I have never had any problems with this company over the years.

Yes they give you a great rate on the first send. Then after that about 1.5 php per dollar less than the XE on the send. I get more Php transferred for the same amount by using Transferwise.
