Visa renewal character reference needed

The BI has a new form that now requires a character reference when a foreigner renews their visa so I thought I would make those of you who stay on visas aware in case they ask you upon renewal to have a character references name, address and phone number. Copy of form HERE.

Have filled out that form three times since June and have left it blank each time(Batangas office, and twice at Intramuros) never a problem.

I guess it is like most things in the Philippines, at the discretion of the in charge at the particular location you happen to be at. :whistle: I know the dress code at the BI was not enforced for a long time after in went into effect and then one day out of the blue they were no longer allowing people into the Cebu BI branch unless they met the dress code.
