Not sure who to congratulate. Lee2 or Steve or both? The other day this appeared and now gone but seems Steve stepped up. Well done Steve

Tom, I believe Steve was promoted to administrator some time back and I stepped in recently to look at some of the settings to see if I could be of some help dealing with some issues relating to spammers.

If you really have a need to know, I had been offered to be a full time administrator of this forum and of a few others way back but declined as I did not wish to bring yours and my past issues over to any other forums.

I hope that answers your question and yes Steve deserves a congratulations from myself, congratulations Steve, and from others if they wish to chime in.

No Lee I did not need to know in that sense and were merely pointing out that I see Steve is an admin now and I think he has been a mod up until very recently. Anyway If you don't have this mod installed then maybe someone can look at doing it to use the "stop forum spam" services.

Thank you Tom, the forum already has that, they were looking for a way to moderate new members posts and Steve came up with one, so they did not really need me to find it after-all, thus why I am back to being a regular member, where I wish to stay.

I too have been worried about Shewmake, I had sent him a message and he has not replied, I sure hope he did not have any complications from his fall that he posted about here http://www.livinginthephilippines.com/forum/index.php?topic=49849.msg66397#msg66397 (and quoted below)
on Dec 6th,2014 which I believe was the last time he was on.

I have been absent for the past week. I fell, broke my wrist, and dislocated my shoulder-- @%&$.

Oh, before I forget, I am now showing as an administrator because Steve has been having problems with his computer, so I agreed to help deal with the spammers since he cannot be on as often.

To clear things up, Lee2 is now an administrator on this forum and we hope that he will stay an administrator.

Note: On this forum all administrators are equal. All we ask is for members to interact nicely with each other and stay within the rules.

For those of you who do not know Lee2, he has been a moderator or administrator on other forums for somewhere in the area of 7 or 8 years, it is my opinion and the opinion of the other administrators that he knows how to run a forum and therefore has this forums full support. Please respect Lee2 as you would any other administrator or moderator who decides to post or directly contact a member.

No pay, not influential at all and most often more aggravation than it is worth, but sometimes, when members appreciate all the work that it takes to keep a forum running without too many issues, then the inner reward we get from being able to help others, makes it all worthwhile.

Thanks for the complement Paul, also 10% of nothing is still nothing lol, actually about what I am worth nowadays.   

The pay that I do get as a member, is the satisfaction of trying to help other members and having succeeded occasionally along the way. Just the other day someone contacted me who knew me from 8 years ago on a forum and that made me feel pretty darn good. Every now and then someone will contact me and tell me how they have learned from some of my posts and that is all the reward I could ever wish for, and especially after having some members I have had to deal with as a moderator along the way, end up hating me for doing what had to be done for the good of the forum. A great moderator is one who can set their personal feelings aside and put the members and the forums best interest in their decisions and that is what I try my best to do as a member and as a moderator.

BTW as the forum picks up, if it picks up, then they will need additional moderators who have the time to devote and who have the forums and members best interests in their mind and hearts.

Now as a member and helper, I would like to thank you Paul for your membership and your posts, please keep up the great help that you are for this forum and its members.

Also as a member, I would like to thank all members who post and keep this forum an interesting place for the rest of us. I can tell a lot of you that there is not a month that goes by that I do not learn something from one or more of you and to me learning is a good part of making my life easier. Thanks!!!
