Interesting,

I clicked on the link in the original post and noted the date of the article was 1 April 2017.

The final paragraph is:

"To conclude this surprising piece of news, we remind you that today is April Fools’ Day. Microsoft is indeed trying to make VR accessible and affordable to the general public, but we have no clue as to what features Windows 12 will bring — and if there will be a Windows 12 OS."

I therefore think the whole article was a prank.

cheers
Brett

You could be correct, thank you for pointing that out, yet here is a video dated Dec 2017 so who knows, IMO nothing on the internet nowadays can be totally trusted.

Didn't read the article until what Brett typed and now I have questions.  I just googled windows 12 and got that video as well as a few sites discussing the release date.  Those sites put the release date much further out.

Gray Wolf:
I'll continue to run my Win7 Pro until the day I drop. I have no issues, no virus problems, no security problems, everything runs as smooth as silk. Maybe it's just me? Also, I have no "need" to upgrade to anything else. All of my software runs fine on Win7. I have no touch screen system, and my digitizing software would require a major upgrade if I upgraded my OS. The CAD system upgrade alone would be a couple grand. I'll continue to be happy as a simple old fart with a relatively simple OS

I too chose to stay with 7. I even disabled updates so they couldn't force it.
