Day/Overnight Trip to Baler, Aurora
Gray Wolf:
Hey all,
When we come for our annual visit, we plan to do a little traveling around the island (Luzon) to see new relatives and see some new and old sites. I have a new nephew from Baler, Aurora who has invited us up for a day or two to see the beaches and drink a few cold ones. Has anyone been to the area before? Any recommendations?
My nephew is the city engineer for Baler, so I'm sure he has some good suggestions for eating, and I know there are some good beaches, especially for surfing, which might be good considering the time of year we'll be visiting (Oct-Nov)
But if anyone has any specific suggestions for "must see" spots, please feel free to speak up.
Salamat! :)

Hi, I’m catching up here. Is there a town there and Were there a good restaurant or beach ? Baler is within a 1 days drive for me so may give it a look t some point. Did you have a good visit . Thanks
Gray Wolf:
Hey Ray!
Baler is the town in Aurora Province. Right on the beach. It's known for some of the best surfing in the Philippines because of the cove facing the prevailing ocean breeze and ocean currents. There are quite a few beach resorts catering to the locals and visiting beach and surf crowd. I hear Bayler-View is a good place. My nephew lives there and has shared some pics with me on social media. It's a nice looking beach resort. Wish I could offer more, but I didn't get to visit as planned due to typhoons and time restrictions

This trip my wife has got us arranged to bus to Baguio, and we won’t be doing 2 bus trips in our short time frame but I’m sure to visit in the future. Thank you.

If I go up there and happen to stay at the named resort, the room will be a difficult and complicated choice. Which room would I want? The Ocean View, the Bay View, or the Pacific View?
