Ready for my Next Long Trip to the Philippines

Hello all,

You kind of had me worried there about this website being shut down.  I thought maybe I got banned for some reason or other.

I found a lot of good information on this website, but, unfortunately, too much is really outdated.  Certain threads have not had comments for years.  I tried other channels such as ex-pat YouTube channels, but a majority of them seem to dwell on telling us 60's crowd how to run our financial and romantic affairs.  Um....don't need that.

Less than four weeks now and we will travel once again to the Philippines.  This will be my fifth trip.  The previous four have been for one month, and this one for three months.  I have concerns about this, since usually after one month I'm more than ready to get back home, but, we have a house over there in my wife's province now, so a lot to look forward to.

I plan on running up to Luaug in northern Ilocos, we have friends up there who own a resort, and stopping by to see Vigan.  Perhaps we will also take  a trip to Bolinao, which my sister-in-law's husband, who was a jeepney driver in Pangasinan, says is fairly close to where our house is.

I know I'll learn a lot more about the Philippines this time, and, I'm excited to see the kin again.

We removed roughly 75,000 outdated posts to trim down the old junk. If you feel there is something really outdated, please respond to one of those posts and I'm sure someone will update anything you need to know.  :)
Enjoy your trip to Laoag, Ilocos Norte. While in Vigan City, be sure to try their famous empanadas. They're absolutely delicious
