Welcome Don,

This is a good place to discover.

Like many here, and you, I am also long married to a Pinay.

I lived in the Phils circa 1998-2002.  First visit was in 1995 and last visit was Nov.-Dec. 2019.  Would have been back since, but C-19 has killed that idea.  International travel is starting to appear to be gone forever for most.  I am sure it will never return to the freewheeling days we enjoyed before.

Coastal dweller, but on the west coast of Canada.  Living off-grid on an island.  Owning and traveling by boat a necessity, but not sailing.  Not too practical year round.

Welcome Don to the forum!  A lot of valuable information on retiring or just visiting the Philippines. I was once married to a Pinay back in the late 80's whom I met while stationed in Germany.  Married her and brought her back to the US and she was a wonderful woman but I'm an idiot for letting her go.  She's a RN nurse practitioner and a Lt Colonel in the Air Force Reserves. I started visiting the Philippines in 95 and tried living there in 2002.  Made it 10 months and told myself that this isn't for me. Visiting okay but not for living.  Again. welcome to the forum!!
