You run errands for your g/f's business don't you and you have a live-in maid right?
They would just assume you are getting paid under the table in some shape or form!
Art, you know, that is like saying that someone could misconstrue you as a possible paid under the table driver in some shape or form since you chauffer your wife to do her weekly grocery shopping. Oh yeah, that is right. Your household also has domestic help. I can easily solve my problem. When I make my weekly trip to the building next door to the office building, when I stop at the office building, as I leave to continue on to my intended destination, I will no longer be carrying any transactions not belonging to me which need to be conducted at that destination next door and down below. That will pretty much eliminate so called errands that I do, as far as I know. In reference to the Kasambahay at the residence (that is the residence not owned by me) where I live, well, I am not the registered household employer. Furthermore, I pick up behind myself and even do a lot of other things instead of just dropping them and saying to myself, “Well, I will just let the maid do it.”
I had also forgotten to tell you Art. You have referred to my girlfriend several times since last year to which I had quit acknowledging her existence. The fact is, I no longer have a girlfriend and had not got around to telling you yet.
I was checking over this faq sheet pertaining to the AEP and here is the link.
http://www.ble.dole.gov.ph/faq%20on%20aep.pdf On question 2 (Who are the foreign nationals required to apply for AEP?)
Answer is: All foreign nationals who intend to engage in gainful employment in the Philippines.
Guess that blows me out of the water.
Question 5 (What are the requirements of filing application for an AEP?)
Answer down on A (Documentary requirements) one of them is: b. Contract of Employment.
Guess this one blows me out of the water too.
So, if I applied for an AEP in order to cover my azz because someone would supposedly just assume I am taking payoff under the table, I would then have to lie about intending to engage in gainful employment and submit a falsified document which all comes under #11. (What are grounds for denial of an AEP?) showing in the first part that:
An application for AEP may be denied for misrepresentation of facts in the application; submission of falsified documents; the foreign national has a derogatory record; or availability of a Filipino who is competent, able and willing to do the job intended for the foreign national.
Well, looks like I won’t be able to go back up to #5 (What are the requirements of filing application for an AEP?) and pay the fees for the initial year and and additional years to cover up to 5 years after application stated below in B.
Permit fee is P8,000 for one year validity or fraction thereof plus P3,000.00 for every additional year of validity or a fraction thereof, which shall not exceed five years, to be paid upon submission of application.
And in closing, coughing up another ₱20k really breaks my heart.
I guess if some nonsense goes down over this which makes it rough on me, then they might as well throw my butt out of the country since even though I try and keep a low profile, I am not about to go underground.
