It's not really a statement, more of a platitude.

One of those which deserves to be buried in the same trench with, "The only good Injun is a dead Injun" and the like which abounded in previous times.

"Tarring everyone with the same brush" so to speak, is not a sgn of an enlightened society, which values its individual members.

Totally agree. With regards the vast majority of people I met in the province they were wonderful. No need to take "anything out" they are just fine as they are IMHO.
