Singapore is very pricey ( in many places) and unless you want to eat/drink with the locals in the foodcourts/Kopitiams you will need to take out an extra mortgage.

But the food in these places  is both varied, delicious and perfectly safe to eat.  ;D

For the price you won\'t get better value anywhere. I used to use them all the time when I lived/worked there over the years. They even have them on Orchard road, so you can window shop in the worlds most expensive stores, but not have to pay a fortune just for a feed.

Do they still have the \'hawker centers\'?  The wife and I did part of our honeymoon there and visited again a few years later, but that was still 15 or so years ago.  I remember you could get some incredibly delicious food.  Sentosa Island was a great day trip then, not sure if it is still.  We took in everything we could; zoo, orchid gardens, museums, etc.  I look forward to visiting again someday.  It was a very clean place, but at the time, I was bummed that I couldn\'t get copenhagen.  Try being with your lovely new wife for a month and running out of tobacco.  Major bummer!  Anyway, I finally quit the stuff, and kept the wife. lol.

Let her share a hint of your home country while in Singapore...

All I can mention or recommend is that they have UNIVERSAL STUDIOS HOLLYWOOD... in SINGAPORE ! JUST OPENED THIS YEAR !!!

I dont think there would be anything better to do there related to your home country than this Universal Studios - thats if you care to give her a piece of American entertainment while there.

BRAND NEW 2010 THEME PARK !

Here\'s some Singapore videos that I made, including one of Universal Studios.
