"Life is what we all make it to be"!
"It's always a matter of money"!
"Do on to others as they would do on to You, but do it first"!
"Different strokes for different folks"!

Hi Art. I think Colin would have been 6 years old in 1943. If I remember rightly, I think a few others of us are also over 70 years young and going strong. :):)

Cheers,
Stephen

Yes, born in 1937 but don't remember too much about WW2 except seeing a doodlebug, V1 rocket, fly over and its engine stop. I didn't even know where the Philippines was in 1987 when I started writing to Bing :)

"Manila is 600 miles south by southeast"  ???  What were they doing on Taiwan and did they expect to walk it?  Hollywood scriptwriters ::)  Oh well, it's probably no worse than "Bataan" and both were apparently turned out on '43, before anybody had any real info to go on.  Ditto for another, "Wake Island".  One of my boss Tech. Reps. was a retired Marine, and Bill and I watched it one night on a TDY and he had fun picking it apart, cause "he was there" TSGT William J Hamilton, NAP.  As for the other, I was born on the day Hong Kong fell, allowing for the IDL.  Allen
