Power rates up by 22 centavos

I still find it hard to understand why anything should cost more in the Philippines than in Florida, which is around 12 cents, when labor costs and benefits in the Philippines are so low when compared to the US, but it is what it is.

Well A lot of the increases are because of the solar and wind farms being installed here

If you build solar you have a 20 year Power Purchase Agreement for 9.68 Piso per KWH wind is around 7.30 Piso KW and Coal is 3 Piso KWH

The cost for the renewables is being added to everyones electric bill so the more solar and wind the higher the price goes
