I wasn't discussing the prices on the item, but the new shipping costs setup.
For the last couple years, when I shopped on Lazada, if an order was over 2000php, all shipping was free(that's the setup for us shoppers living in the Visayas or Mindanao, I know it's less for those on Luzon and even lower yet for those in the NCR as far as how much you needed to spend to get the free shipping). That is over. It's done. Now, all SHIPPING costs fall to the seller.
I understand how to shop. It's why my 32" LCD tvs cost right around $100 usd in price for a product that for the most part, does everything I want. You look for the best price. My issue is the customer service rep that I was dealing with was telling me I was doing it wrong because with their new setup, it saves money for everyone. That's when I got my past order/costs page up and took a screen shot. Same tv, same seller, same price on tv, but now the shipping costs have jumped. He then finally stopped telling me I was doing something wrong and that they would look into the issue(what issue, seems pretty clear to me what's going on) Same on the POD and the bracket. Same everything, but when adding all 3 items together, nearly a 2000php jump in costs due to the added shipping costs.
I went to shopee.ph, actually was able to get the exact same products(brands, models and all) and after their very small shipping fee still got it for less than the pre shipping costs at Lazada. I need to look at shopee more and more. Just a few months ago, the last time I bought that TV for the builder I'm using now on my home, shopee didn't have the tv or POD. So whoever is running shopee is doing a good job on expanding the products you can get on there(the sellers, I know. either sellers are waking up to shopee, or shopee is doing a better job of finding them and getting them to use shopee as a site to sell)
I also think shopee and lazada are closer to Amazon than ebay. Ebay is close, but I see much more of "stores" using lazada and shopee than just any tom, dick or harry throwing up an item every now and then to just get rid of it and make a little money of it like I saw on ebay in the USA.
