Renewing US based debit/Atm cards while living in the philippines

I have a question and maybe it's been asked before but I'll ask anyway. Anyone have experience on renewing your US debit card while living in the Philippines? I was thinking banks or credit unions might not send you a new debit card through the mail if your in the Philippines. Any takes on this? Thanks!

My bank refused to.  In fact, they required an address in the USA to be on my account.  So I talked to my siblings and a sister said I could use her's.  She then got the card and sent it to me here in the Phils in a LBC package.

I have a credit card (Chase) that goes to my sister's house.  I can activate the new card online so she just sends it to me without it being activated.  I activate it online when I receive it in the PHL.  She usually sends it via FedEx.  (So there is the cost of FedEx for me.)

I have a Schwab international account that uses my PHL address so they send my debit card directly to my PHL address.  I don't remember how I activate this card but I use Skype to call Schwab's 800 number when I need to and it's free.

My Schwab card expired and I was in Manila. I called their number and told the rep I was on vacation. He sent the card by air freight and I received it in 3 days and activated it.

Ok, thanks for the answers. From the answers given it seems the card will be sent to a US address and then someone needs to forward it to the Philippines. I have a Navy Federal Credit Union debit card and I guess if worse came to worse, I could fly to Guam to the NFCU on the navy base and have one or two made on the spot. Kind of an expensive trip but you gotta do what you gotta do.

I have a visa and an American express, and both send my new cards to me no problem at all (sent a replacement card as well, when one was lost)

Did you provide a local Philippine address or a military FPO address?

Just got off the phone with Navy Federal.  They informed me that if I had debit/ATM issues in the Philippines they would express mail me a new card in a couple of days. I informed them that I would have a FPO mailing address. I also asked if I could expedite the card using Fed Express, DHL or LBC at my expense and they told me I could.

My bank in Scotland (BoS) will send cards to the Philippines, but the cards (and one time the PIN envelope) have gone astray in the past.

I now have them sent to my daughter's address in GB and she then sends the card by registered mail to me here. She keeps the PIN envelope and then telephones me with the PIN when I email to confirm I have received the card.

Works for us.

My BoA debit card expires end of Dec 2019.  BoA mails the new card end of Nov.  Received the new card through PhilPost by 10 Dec and activated online.

Have had two stolen from Phil Post. Somehow the thieves who the fraud department says are a professional group activated one of the cards. Made $3000 worth of purchases before the bank froze the account. Fortunately my bank (USAA) didn't charge anything to me and set my account straight. Had to add two additional layers of security to access the accounts. It's a pain in the butt but at least it will be very difficult for someone to get in. Now I have the cards sent to my son who in turn sends them FedEx.

FedEx... my sister had my NFCU FedEx'd to me and I got it fast the $65 burn though but worth it.

Good answers everyone!  I might just subscribe to a mail forwarding service and have them send it to my forwarding address. I can go online and check my mailbox and have my mail sent to a Philippine address or an FPO.  Don't want to bother anyone with having them send any mail to me.

I have never had a problem, have had my visa card sent to me twice, and my wife's two times as well.  Have also had my American Express sent to me.   Got all of them very very timely as well (sent directly to my house in the Philippines)
