Has anyone visited Fantasy World near Tagaytay?http://www.pbase.com/tekgik/fantasy_world If so, any comments about it would be appreciated. I\'m looking for somewhere to take a family for a day trip from Manila and this looks ideal, but it\'s not clear if the theme park is actually open and functioning. How does it compare to Enchanted Kingdom?

Ken,

Have you been to Enchanted Kingdom? It is great fun for the kids & a real surprise as to how good it is. Live shows with high divers into small tank, Fire breathers, live song & dance, fireworks etc.

Not been to Fantasy World but it looks like a park with a playground from the photo\'s.

Is the palace in the sky in either one of them or is it something different again?

Are you referring to Imelda\'s white mansion that can be seen from the highway going to Tagaytay?

Ken,

The Palace in the Sky is inside the Peoples Park, Tagaytay. It is a place to go & view Taal volcano & have a picnic/BBQ (see pic). It was built by Imelda for a visit by Ronald Reagan that never happened.

A good day out run from Manila would be to go to Tagaytay for the afternoon then go to Enchanted Kingdom for around 5-6pm. Stay for the fireworks at 8-9 & drive back.

Ken,

You didn\'t mention the family age range but another option is Splash Island just off the SLEX before the Sta Rosa, Enchanted Kingdom exit. They have water shutes, wave pool & an artificial sand beach for sun bathing.

Then on to Enchanted Kingdom in the evening.
